Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Klug consumer app or Klug Insights platform (together, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

Klug provides grocery budgeting, shopping intelligence, price comparison, receipt digitization, shopping lists, and group shopping tools to consumers, and retail analytics, tenant management, and canonical product governance tools to supermarkets and manufacturers through Klug Insights.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Enterprise tenants must complete onboarding and KYC verification before activation.

You agree to use the Services lawfully, provide accurate receipt and shopping data, and not misrepresent pricing, product, or branch information submitted through the platform.

Shopping lists, group lists, and receipts you upload remain your data as described in our Privacy Policy. Group shopping features are shared with members you invite, and you are responsible for what you share within a group.

Prices, branch information, and market intelligence shown in the Services are derived from consumer observations and verified retailer submissions. Klug makes reasonable efforts to keep this data accurate and current but does not guarantee that displayed prices exactly match in-store prices at all times.

• Do not attempt to access data belonging to other consumers or tenants.
• Do not scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Services' operation.
• Do not upload false, fraudulent, or misleading receipts or pricing data.
• Do not use the Services for any unlawful purpose.

Klug and its licensors own all rights to the Services, including the canonical product catalog, software, branding, and design. You retain ownership of the content you submit, and grant Klug a license to process it in order to provide and improve the Services.

Supermarket and manufacturer tenants are responsible for the accuracy of operational data they submit. Klug is not responsible for losses arising from inaccurate data submitted by a third party.

You may stop using the Services and request account deletion at any time. Klug may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, misuse the platform, or pose a security risk to other users or tenants.

The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Klug does not guarantee that budgeting estimates, price comparisons, or market intelligence will be error-free or uninterrupted.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Klug shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including reliance on pricing or market data.

You agree to indemnify Klug against claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Services or violation of these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide appropriate notice through our products or website.
